Bidwell Health is a clinician-led online telehealth practice serving 11 U.S. states. We treat a focused set of conditions with a $45 online visit — no insurance billing, no required subscription, no video calls. Licensed clinicians review intake forms and, when clinically appropriate, send prescriptions directly to your local pharmacy.

What we are

A small, solo-founder-led telehealth practice focused on making a specific set of common conditions quick and inexpensive to treat. We're not trying to be Hims or Ro — we don't do subscriptions, we don't run a pharmacy, and we don't manage long-term chronic care.

The founder, Bidwell Cranage, is an APRN with 19 years of clinical experience spanning flight medicine, trauma, emergency care, men's health, hair loss, and cash-pay clinical triage. Ashley Cranage, APRN, joined as a Clinical Provider after 12 years across telehealth, primary care, pediatrics, surgical care, and trauma-informed clinical support.

What we treat

Focused online visit types. We intentionally don't expand beyond what's safe and appropriate to evaluate online:

Urinary tract infection (UTI) — uncomplicated lower UTI in adults
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) — metronidazole or alternative regimens
Yeast infection — fluconazole or topical antifungals
Erectile dysfunction — sildenafil, tadalafil, or alternatives; cardiac screening at intake
Hair loss — finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil (oral/topical)
Eyelash growth — Latisse or generic bimatoprost for upper eyelashes when clinically appropriate
Oral herpes / cold sores — valacyclovir treatment for adults with a prior diagnosis
Genital herpes — outbreak or suppressive valacyclovir treatment for adults with a prior diagnosis
Prescription refills — 90-day bridge refills for stable, non-controlled chronic meds

What we don't treat

We're transparent about our scope. We don't prescribe:

Controlled substances — no opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin), sleep aids, gabapentin, pregabalin, tramadol, or Fioricet
New diagnoses requiring physical exam or imaging
Anything for patients outside ages 18-64
Pregnancy or breastfeeding-related treatment
Complicated infections (kidney, sepsis signs, persistent symptoms)
Medications with recent dose changes or labs older than 12 months

Emergencies require in-person care — call 911 or go to an ER.

How we're regulated

Multiple layers:

State boards of nursing — every provider is individually licensed in every state where they practice. Licenses are public record and independently verifiable.
HIPAA — Bidwell Health is a HIPAA-covered entity. All patient data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We limit vendor access to PHI, use encrypted systems, and require appropriate privacy protections for vendors that handle patient information.
Clinical protocols — we follow published guidelines from the IDSA (UTI), CDC (bacterial vaginosis, STI treatment), ACOG (women's health), AUA (urology, ED), AAD (dermatology), and AAFP (primary care, refills).

Pricing

The online visit is $45. No hidden fees. No required subscription. The visit fee covers licensed clinician review and the prescription decision when clinically appropriate — medication is paid separately at your pharmacy. We accept all major credit cards; we don't accept insurance.

Medication cost is paid separately at the pharmacy and varies by medication, quantity, pharmacy, insurance, and discount-card pricing.

Turnaround

A licensed clinician reviews visits throughout the day, including weekends. Timing depends on intake volume, clinical complexity, and pharmacy processing. Prescriptions are e-prescribed to your pharmacy of choice (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Publix, Costco, Amazon Pharmacy, or any other you select).

Our workflow

You complete a clinical intake form — symptoms, medical history, allergies, current medications, pharmacy
Payment: cash-pay via Stripe
A licensed clinician (Bidwell or Ashley) reviews visits throughout the day, including weekends
If clinically appropriate, a prescription is e-prescribed to your pharmacy
If we can't safely treat your case online, your visit fee is refunded in full (no-Rx refund guarantee)

Office morale

Raya is our office dog and unofficial break-time supervisor. She helps keep the humans moving, decompressing, and stepping away from screens between chart reviews.

Note: Raya is not a clinician. All clinical intake review and prescription decisions are made by licensed clinicians.

Security and privacy

All patient data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We limit vendor access to protected health information, use encrypted systems, and require appropriate privacy protections for vendors that handle patient information. We never sell patient data.
