If appropriate, your clinician may prescribe metronidazole 500 mg by mouth twice daily for 7 days plus clindamycin 2% cream on the outside of the penis twice daily for 7 days. The cream is a vaginal formulation used off-label on penile skin. Your clinician makes the final treatment decision.
