Why pregnancy status matters
Pregnancy and breastfeeding can change medication safety, symptom risk, and the need for testing or in-person evaluation. That is why the intake asks about pregnancy and why the clinician may choose a safer care setting instead of online treatment.
When to seek in-person care
Use urgent care, emergency care, or OB/GYN care for severe pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, fever, flank pain, pregnancy-related complications, or symptoms that feel dangerous or are rapidly worsening.
What happens if online treatment is not appropriate?
If online care is not appropriate, Bidwell Health will not force an online prescription. You may be directed to in-person care, urgent care, OB/GYN care, testing, or your regular clinician depending on the concern.
