What Symptoms Require Urgent Care Instead?
Some symptoms are not appropriate for online visits and need urgent care, emergency care, testing, or in-person evaluation.
Short answer: Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe allergic reaction, severe abdominal or pelvic pain, high fever, flank pain with UTI symptoms, severe worsening symptoms, pregnancy-related complications, suicidal thoughts, or symptoms that feel dangerous should be evaluated urgently or emergently.
