What Is the Cheapest Way to Get ED Medication Online?
A one-time visit plus a generic tablet at pharmacy prices costs a fraction of what the subscription services charge for the same medication. The numbers below were read from the companies' own pages on September 5, 2026.

How the subscription price compares with the pharmacy benchmark
Over a year at 15 sildenafil tablets a month, Hims costs $780 to $1,140, Ro and Peter MD cost $1,080, and Rex MD's largest plan (12 a month, 144 tablets) costs $864. Two $45 Bidwell Health visits plus the same generic cost about $160 through Cost Plus Drugs or $288 to $397 with a coupon at a chain for 50 mg tablets (20 mg tablets, where prescribed, $153 to $182). Subtract the coupon price of the tablets from any subscription bill and the difference, 64 to 98 percent of the bill at the four largest brands, is what the subscription adds under these assumptions: it includes bundled services and fees, and it does not reveal a company's acquisition cost or profit margin. What the $45 visit does and does not include
The $45 covers a licensed clinician's review of your online intake, the prescription decision, and messaging about the visit. It does not include medication, which you pay for at the pharmacy you choose, and it is refunded if treatment is not clinically appropriate. The standard ED prescription is written for six months (45 tablets plus one refill, 15 tablets a month), so a year is two visits. Nothing renews and nothing ships from Bidwell Health.
When a subscription is cheaper
Tablets used per month are a consumption assumption, not the quantity Bidwell dispenses. Available as-needed visit selections are 15, 30 or 45 tablets, subject to the clinician’s prescription. A low-use cost comparison must account for the actual fill quantity and remaining supply.
At six sildenafil tablets a month filled at a chain pharmacy, the two discount subscriptions, Friday Plans at $1.99 a tablet and Rocket Rx from $1.50, come in below a $45 visit plus coupon-priced tablets, because their per-pill premium on a handful of tablets adds up to less than two visit fees. Neither beats the Cost Plus Drugs route on sildenafil; on tadalafil, Friday Plans is cheaper only at four tablets a month, and at the standard 15 a month both are 38 to 110 percent above the coupon route. Optum Store and Amazon One Medical charge less than $45 for the visit itself.
