What the cash-pay visit covers
The visit covers clinician review of your online intake and a treatment decision. If treatment fits, an antibiotic such as nitrofurantoin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, or another appropriate option may be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. Pharmacy pricing varies by medication, pharmacy, discount card, and insurance status.
No insurance billing
Bidwell Health does not bill insurance, submit claims, or generate explanation-of-benefit paperwork. Patients pay for the visit online and pay the pharmacy separately for medication. This can be useful for patients who do not have insurance, do not want to use insurance, or prefer a straightforward cash-pay visit.
When online treatment may not fit
Online UTI treatment may not be appropriate for fever, flank or back pain, vomiting, pregnancy, visible blood in urine, recurrent UTI, male UTI symptoms, kidney infection concern, recent urologic surgery, kidney stones, immunosuppression, severe symptoms, or symptoms that do not clearly fit uncomplicated lower UTI.
