Who may qualify for an online UTI visit?
Online UTI treatment may fit nonpregnant adult women with burning with urination, urinary urgency, frequent urination, and no red-flag symptoms. The visit still requires clinical review before antibiotics are prescribed.
You must be 18 or older and physically in one of these states during your visit. Choose your state for its existing UTI care page.
Before you start: when online care is not right
Get same-day in-person care
Seek same-day in-person care for fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, chills, pain in the side or back below the ribs, severe pelvic or lower abdominal pain, vomiting, visible blood in the urine without typical bladder-infection symptoms, heavy bleeding or clots, or blood that persists after treatment. Get same-day care if urinary symptoms get worse quickly or significantly.
Pregnancy, recurrent infections and other health concerns
If pregnant or possibly pregnant, contact your obstetric clinician promptly.
Recurrent UTIs (two or more in six months, or three or more in twelve months) are outside Bidwell's routine online visit and need in-person assessment with a urine culture. A urinary catheter, a known kidney or urinary tract abnormality, kidney disease or a weakened immune system can also mean in-person testing is the safer route; the clinician will tell you if that applies.
For emergencies, call 911
Call 911 or go to the emergency department for confusion, fainting, trouble breathing, inability to stay awake, or severe illness; inability to urinate or inability to keep fluids down also needs urgent emergency assessment. Do not wait for an online review.

What does the $45 UTI visit include?
The visit fee purchases the clinical assessment, which includes the clinician's review of your intake, the clinical decision, and follow-up messaging about that visit. It does not purchase a prescription, and a prescription is issued only when a clinician determines one is clinically appropriate.
Medication is paid separately at your chosen pharmacy. No subscription is required.
Can I use Bidwell Health without insurance?
Yes. Bidwell Health does not bill insurance for the $45 online visit. Medication costs are separate and depend on your pharmacy.
How soon will a clinician review my visit?
Reviewed 7 days a week, including weekends; timing varies. No scheduled video visit is required. If treatment is appropriate, a prescription is sent after clinician review. Pharmacy filling and pickup timing depend on your pharmacy. Do not wait for an online review if you have urgent symptoms.
Which antibiotics can be prescribed online?
A licensed clinician reviews your visit information and, when clinically appropriate, sends an antibiotic chosen for your situation, such as nitrofurantoin, TMP-SMX (Bactrim) or fosfomycin, to your pharmacy. These are examples, not a promise of your prescription. Follow your own prescription.
What if my symptoms are not a UTI?
Burning, urgency and frequent urination can have causes other than a bacterial bladder infection. The clinician may recommend urine testing or in-person assessment when the diagnosis is uncertain or online treatment is not appropriate. Antibiotics are not automatic.
When is the visit fee refunded?
You receive a full refund when a clinician determines that your case cannot be safely or appropriately treated through Bidwell Health, including when we refer you to in person care.
You do not receive a refund once a prescription has been sent to your pharmacy.
If a clinician completes your assessment and determines that no prescription is indicated for your symptoms, that is a completed visit and is not refunded; the clinician will tell you why and what to do next.
