What the cash-pay visit covers
The visit covers clinician review of your online intake and a treatment decision. If treatment fits, medication such as metronidazole, clindamycin, or another appropriate BV option may be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy. Pharmacy pricing varies by medication, pharmacy, discount card, and insurance status.
No insurance billing
Bidwell Health does not bill insurance, submit claims, or generate explanation-of-benefit paperwork. Patients pay for the visit online and pay the pharmacy separately for medication. This can be useful for patients who do not have insurance, do not want to use insurance, or prefer a straightforward cash-pay visit.
When online treatment may not fit
Online BV treatment may not be appropriate for pregnancy, pelvic pain, fever, STI exposure, unusual bleeding, severe symptoms, recurrent treatment failure, recent gynecologic surgery, or symptoms that sound more like yeast infection, UTI, trichomoniasis, or another diagnosis.
