No nearby appointment
No doctor near you? Online care may help
If the closest clinic is far away, the local office is booked, or you cannot find a nearby appointment for a supported concern, Bidwell Health offers $45 online visits for adults in supported states. You complete an online intake, a licensed clinician reviews it, and prescriptions are sent to your chosen pharmacy when clinically appropriate.
Short answer: Bidwell Health is not a substitute for emergency care or a long-term primary care relationship. It can be a practical option for supported low-acuity needs when you cannot easily reach a local doctor, urgent care, or same-week appointment.
When this kind of visit may fit
- You are 18 or older and physically located in a supported state.
- Your concern is one Bidwell Health supports online.
- You can complete an online intake without a scheduled video call.
- A reachable pharmacy is available if treatment is clinically appropriate.
- Your symptoms do not require emergency care, hands-on examination, labs, imaging, or a procedure.
Supported care when local access is hard
What Bidwell does not replace
Some care still needs a local clinic, urgent care, emergency department, specialist, lab, imaging center, or primary care office. Bidwell Health does not treat emergencies, pediatrics, controlled substances, pregnancy-related complications, severe or unstable symptoms, or conditions that require in-person testing or examination.
How local pharmacy pickup works
During intake, you choose the pharmacy you want to use. If treatment is clinically appropriate, the prescription is sent electronically to that pharmacy. The pharmacy sets the final medication cost, and medication is paid separately from the $45 online visit.
Where Bidwell is available
Bidwell Health currently serves adults located in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. You must be physically located in a supported state at the time of the visit.
No-doctor-near-you FAQ
What can I do if there is no doctor near me?
If you are an adult in a supported state, Bidwell Health may be able to review supported low-acuity needs online. You complete an intake, a licensed clinician reviews it, and treatment is decided only when clinically appropriate.
Is Bidwell Health a replacement for a local primary care doctor?
No. Bidwell Health can help with supported online visits, but it does not replace ongoing primary care, emergency care, labs, imaging, procedures, or in-person evaluation when those are needed.
Do I need a video appointment if I cannot find a nearby doctor?
No scheduled video appointment is required for supported Bidwell Health visits. The visit uses online intake and licensed clinician review.
Can an online clinician send a prescription to my local pharmacy?
When treatment is clinically appropriate, prescriptions are sent electronically to the patient's chosen pharmacy. Medication cost is paid separately at the pharmacy.
When should I seek urgent or emergency care instead?
Use urgent or emergency care for severe symptoms, chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke symptoms, severe allergic reactions, high fever, pregnancy-related complications, severe pain, suicidal thoughts, or symptoms that need in-person testing or immediate evaluation.
