What is Latisse®?

Latisse is the brand name for bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03%, a prescription medication indicated for inadequate or insufficient eyelashes. It is applied to the upper eyelid margin once nightly with a sterile applicator. It is not mascara, an over-the-counter lash serum, or a beauty product that Bidwell sells directly.

The reason Latisse requires a clinician review is not bureaucracy. The medication can affect eye pressure, can cause eyelid skin darkening, can cause unwanted hair growth where the solution repeatedly touches skin, and may cause permanent darkening of the iris. Those risks are uncommon for many patients, but they are important enough to screen for.

How does the Bidwell Latisse® visit work?

The visit is designed to take about 3 minutes for patients who are straightforward candidates. You choose brand Latisse or generic bimatoprost, select a bottle-size preference, answer a short eye-safety screen, acknowledge the iris-pigmentation consent, and enter your pharmacy. A licensed clinician reviews the intake and sends a prescription only when clinically appropriate.

There is no scheduled video call and no subscription requirement. Medication cost is paid separately at your pharmacy. If the clinician decides online treatment is not appropriate, the visit fee is refunded.

How much does the visit cost?

The Bidwell visit is $45. That is the clinician-review fee. The pharmacy sets the medication price, and the final cost can vary by pharmacy, insurance, manufacturer, quantity, and discount-card use. Bidwell does not quote a final pharmacy price because Bidwell does not control that price.

Can I get Latisse® online without insurance?

Yes. Bidwell is cash-pay and does not bill medical insurance for the visit. If a prescription is sent, you may ask your pharmacy whether pharmacy insurance or a discount card can be used for the medication itself. Many patients compare brand and generic pricing at the pharmacy before pickup.

Brand Latisse® or generic bimatoprost — which should I choose?

Both refer to bimatoprost 0.03% for upper-eyelash growth. Generic bimatoprost is typically chosen for lower pharmacy cost, while brand Latisse is chosen by patients who specifically want the brand name. Packaging and applicator supply may vary by manufacturer or pharmacy, so patients should use sterile single-use applicators and contact the pharmacy if applicators are not included.

Who is eligible for the Bidwell visit?

Who should not use this online visit?

Do not use this visit for eye pain, vision changes, light sensitivity, floaters, active infection, eyelid swelling, styes, pink eye, glaucoma, ocular hypertension, current prescription eye-drop use, pregnancy, breastfeeding, lower-lash application, or lash loss caused by chemotherapy, trauma, alopecia areata, trichotillomania, or another medical condition. Those situations need care that can examine or monitor the eye directly.

What are the side effects of Latisse®, in real numbers?
