How online BV treatment works
The intake asks about odor, discharge, irritation, pregnancy status, STI risk, prior treatment, allergies, and other safety factors. The clinician uses that information to decide whether online treatment is appropriate.
When a video-free visit may not fit
Online BV treatment may not fit if symptoms are severe, recurrent despite treatment, associated with pelvic pain or fever, occur during pregnancy, or suggest STI or another diagnosis.
What about a male partner with no BV symptoms?
Eligible ongoing male partners can request treatment through their own $45 BV visit without a scheduled video call. The purpose is to help reduce recurrence in a partner with clinician-diagnosed BV; the male patient is not being diagnosed with vaginal BV.
