You do not need health insurance for a Bidwell yeast infection visit. The clinician assessment costs $45, with no required subscription or scheduled video. If medication is prescribed, you choose the pharmacy and pay its price separately.

How to use a cash-pay visit
- Check your location and symptoms. You must be at least 18 and physically in one of our 11 supported states. Review the safety limits below before starting.
- Complete the yeast intake. Describe your symptoms and provide pregnancy, safety, medication, allergy and pharmacy information. Include any treatments you have tried in your notes.
- Receive clinician assessment. Your clinician reviews the information and may ask follow-up questions before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
- Confirm the pharmacy price. If a prescription is sent, the pharmacy processes it separately. Ask about the full cash price or an accepted discount option before paying.
- Use your visit messaging. Questions about the treatment or pharmacy can be raised within the included 21-day messaging window. New severe symptoms need prompt in-person care.
Can I choose a local or mail-order pharmacy?
Yes. An appropriate prescription can go to your chosen local or compatible mail-order pharmacy, including Amazon Pharmacy or Cost Plus Drugs. A compounding pharmacy can also be selected when it can fill the prescribed medication. Bidwell does not sell, stock or ship medication and does not require you to buy from a particular pharmacy.
Choose based on the actual prescription price, stock, shipping and how soon you need it. For a short course, a lower mail-order medication price may be offset by delivery charges or waiting time. Check the pharmacy's requirements and use the same patient information you gave during the visit. Message us if the destination needs to change.
I have insurance but want to pay cash. Can I?
Yes. Having insurance does not prevent you from using Bidwell's cash-pay visit. We do not bill insurance for your Bidwell visit. Medication is purchased separately. If you use insurance at your pharmacy, the pharmacy may submit a medication claim to your insurer.
Cash-pay care should not be described as leaving no medical record or guaranteeing that no one can learn about a visit. Your care has a medical record, and privacy depends on the relevant account, pharmacy and billing arrangements. Read our Privacy Policy and ask the pharmacy how it will handle payment if that distinction matters to you.
Is an online visit always the lowest-cost option?
No. An over-the-counter antifungal does not require a Bidwell visit, although it is important to choose care appropriate to the symptoms. A student may have eligible care included in campus health fees, and an insured patient may have a suitable covered appointment. Those options may be useful, particularly when examination or testing is needed.
Compare campus options in Florida, Virginia and Northern Virginia, or Arizona, including Tempe and Tucson. Bidwell is independent of the schools listed. The advantage of our model is a clearly stated assessment fee and pharmacy choice, without needing an insurance claim for the visit or a continuing subscription.
When does this online visit fit?
A first suspected yeast infection can be assessed online. Your clinician decides whether the symptom pattern is suitable for online treatment. Three or more symptomatic yeast infections in less than a year are considered recurrent. Repeated infections warrant clinical evaluation and testing and may require a longer treatment plan. Recurrent infections receive individual clinician review.
Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, pelvic pain, severe vaginal or vulvar symptoms and STI concerns need in-person care. Pregnancy, unusual bleeding, immunosuppression and uncontrolled diabetes require in-person care under our existing yeast protocol. Symptoms suggesting another diagnosis may also need examination or testing. No pelvic examination or laboratory testing is performed through the online visit.
